Ai: the expo

Ai is everywhere around us. Sometimes we realise that Ai has become part of our lives, sometimes we are unaware of its presence. You can now look around at the informative and interactive exhibition Ai: the expo at Discovery Museum. The exhibition aims at showing virtually all aspects of Ai as a new technology and consequently deals with its applications, the opportunities it offers and the challenges it poses. Having the right sort of information helps when you take part in the general debate about Ai. It is also useful when you are faced with the question as to what extent you want to make use of Ai-powered systems.

Ai applications can also be great fun and starting points for all sorts of experiments. Go ahead and try yourself as an Ai-VJ/DJ and prompt your own silent disco, go on a flight over a scenery that you prompted yourself or play rock paper scissors with a robot arm as your opponent. Discover in a playful way all the possibilities Ai has to offer.

But you can also explore the not so pleasant aspects of Ai. For example, to what extent does Ai impact our privacy? What will be the effects of Ai on employment? How much energy and water are needed to handle the enormous number of prompts? Is Ai capable of discrimination? Will we be able to distinguish between what is real and what is fake? Are Ai-driven robots going to take over the world as we know it?

You will also meet Ami, the latest and most advanced humanoid robot in the world. Characteristic for this unique and lifelike robot are its remarkable communicative abilities. Are you up for a chat with Ami?

Take part in the Ai Dilemma Show presented by Max Headroom and explore your viewpoints as to Ai. And finally, there is the ‘What’s Next Gallery’, where you get an impression of what Ai applications are used in the region.

Ai: the expo combines insights, interactivity and discussions so that you go away armed with a whole lot of information and new perspectives.
